Maroon Base Updates 18/05/2018

Maroon Base have continued improving their culinary skills.

This week we have been looking at carbohydrates - in particular pasta.

We had a look at all the different shapes pasta comes in, and we decided to cook with spaghetti and pasta twists.

We made sure that the pasta cooked for the right amount of time in the boiling water and that it didn't stick together or go too soft and slimy. We added a tomato pasta sauce to the spaghetti, and a carbonara sauce to the twists.

They both tasted great, and as usual, plenty of other people were keen to try out our cooking skills!
